FY2022 Budget Reconciliation & Infrastructure

Negotiations on the Build Back Better package continued to stall this week as the House of Representatives turned its attention to the America COMPETES Act, the House alternative to the Senate’s China competitiveness legislation, the United States Innovation and Competition Act of 2021 (USICA), that passed the Senate on June 8, 2021. Final passage of the America COMPETES Act occurred Friday after days of debate and consideration of amendments. The House and the Senate will now go to conference to iron out the differences between the two versions of the legislation, before ultimately sending a final bill to the President’s desk. Please find below the latest edition of the Policy Resolution Group’s FY2022 Budget Reconciliation & Infrastructure Update.
