The slimmed down reconciliation package remains at a standstill, with lawmakers directing their attention towards government funding negotiations, Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, President Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, and the USICA/COMPETES legislation. While unofficial negotiations on the reconciliation package continue in Democratic circles, with Congress out for the week, little public progress was made.
