This past week saw little progress on the partisan reconciliation package, with Congress focusing its time on confirming the new Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, negotiating a COVID relief package, imposing trade restrictions on Russia, setting up a conference committee to negotiate China competitiveness legislation, and still searching for mechanisms to combat record high gas prices.
