Congress returned to Washington, D.C. this week and hit the ground running after a two-week recess. Both the House and the Senate conducted hearings on President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget, making it a busy week for the Biden Cabinet. While a reconciliation package still remains a possibility should President Biden begin negotiations in earnest, the September 30 deadline is fast approaching and with the mid-term elections looming, Congress is running out of legislative work periods.
